- One of the key landing page types that were driving organic search traffic, were updated accidentally due to code changes by developer team, and that was unknowingly to the marketing team.
What we have done?
Monthly crawl audit was performed on the website to detect any SEO errors or abnormalities to SEO best practices.
Audit findings reveal that one of their key landing page types didn’t follow SEO best practices in implementing canonical URL properly, which resulted in Google to ignore and not serve these web pages on search results.
Upon rectifying the canonical URL errors, the corrected pages were expedited to be crawled by Google, so as to gain organic search traffic at a faster rate.
Key Achievements:
- +14.38% in organic search traffic gain to those landing pages after rectification within 1 month’s time
